Hello all,

I am so excited to present to you my newly redone wesbite. I have updated a lot of the content on the site and I have taken a fresh approach to the overall design and layout. I hope that this will be a place where I can continue to share with you all of the amazing things that I am doing.

I definitely want to take a few moments to express my gratitude. I have been so fortunate and blessed to be truly living my dreams and that would not have been possible if I didn't have an amazing foundation rooted in family. It also would not have happened if I hadn't met, interacted with and been taken under the wings of some amazing writers, actors, directors and performers of all kinds.

I am working on several big projects which I am very proud of. In addition, I continue to writer, rehearse and perform my poetry. This year is significant because I have taken a huge risk in that I entered Poetry Idol co-sponsored by La Bruja & The Poet's Den Theater. Anyone who knows me knows that I never compete with my poetry and the two slams I have participated in were by accident truly (although making it the 2nd round of a 2 or 3 round competition is pretty darn cool!!). I am learning so much already - about myself, about the other competitors or are AMAZING!!

I hope to continue to work and inspire others! Be blessed mi gente.

Peace, love & poetry

Poet-on-the-Run Fall 2011 Edition

Greetings Everyone,

I have much good news to share with you. I am (finally) officially a full-time performance artist, which means a part-time lots of other things. I am very excited about this as I have been working toward this for quite some time and it finally became my reality this summer. Many things finally fell into place along with the revelation that this was the path I was meant to walk. I will be on the road this fall touring as a solo performer as well as with Urbintel's HerStory.

I am still living and writing in NYC but I will bring my work to various audiences around the country. I will continue to develop as a writer, actor and performer through two studios that have been integral to my growth and development over the last few years.

Last year I was part of some amazing projects/events - a short film by dir Kanokon Sookram and a Spoken Word CD with musician Steven Maldonado. I also promoted my poetry and chapbook at the National Counsel of La Raza's Annual Latino Book & Family Festivals in Los Angeles & Chicago.

I recently self-published a chapbook titled Poetry In Performance which will be available for sale at any events where I am performing. If you are interested in obtaining a copy please contact me directly at [email protected]

Upcoming projects include: writing a manuscript to have a full volume of my poetry published. I am also working on a new CD project, to layout many of my spoken word pieces on tracks. I will be working on that with a few musician friends on this project. I will also continue to audition for theater and film productions.

I do want to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have so many wonderful people to care about me, my work and have supported me on this journey. From family to friends to co-workers to fellow artists, I have been embraced by your love and it has made all the difference.

Below is a schedule of my fall performances:

Cultural Connections - Monday Aug 22nd 7:30pm Yale University, New Haven, CT

Urbintel presents Def Poetry - Thursday Sept 1st 7:00pm James Madison University Harrisonburg, VA

Spoken Word Performance* - Thurday Sept 29th Details TBA Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI

Urbintel presents HerStory Wednesday Oct 5th 7pm Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, GA

Atlanta Open Mic Tour Oct 6th-10th Venues TBA

Urbintel presents HerStory - Thursday Oct 13th 9pm Pace University, Pleasantville, NY

*Stay tuned for updates to the calendar as some performances are still in negotiation.

Thank you again for your love & support!!

Hello darlings,

Thank you so much for visiting my page and checking in. I am currently in Orlando, FL with my family, enjoying the not-so-warm weather. It has been wonderful! Can you believe that it had been six months since I'd last seen my mom? I am having an amazing time just enjoying my family and the relaxation.

I am very excited about 2011 and all of the amazing projects and events that I will be working on, beginning with the launch of my very own website! In addition, I have a full calendar of performances and events this spring and I hope to see you in an audience soon!
